His second-best knock came during the fifth ODI match against England, which took place on September 4, 2016, in Cardiff. The English side posted a massive total of 302/9 in the given 50 overs. However, during the chase, Pakistan chased down the total with 10 balls to spare, thanks to a magnificent batting performance from Sarfaraz, who made 90 runs from 73 balls, featuring 10 boundaries and one six to help his side defeat the hosts.

However, during the chase, Sri Lanka were bundled out for just 181 runs, making them lose the game by 135 runs.
