Get the predicted Playing XI for India in the 4th T20I against England. T20 World Cup winners India were given a rude jolt by England during the third T20I in Rajkot on Tuesday. Suryakumar Yadav and his men lost the match 26 runs as the visiting side made their comeback into the series. Pune is set to host the fourth game of the series on Friday before the final match which is to be played in Mumbai on Sunday.
After winning the opening two games of the series in Kolkata and Chennai, team India was expected to make short work of England. It seemed the game was over after Varun Chakravarthy picked 5/24 to restrict the former World Champions to 171. Jamie Overton and Adil Rashid then combined well to bowl their side to a 26-run win.
Here is the Predicted India’s Playing XI vs England for fourth T20I
Top order:

Sanju Samson has found runs hard to come by during the first three games of the series. The 30-year-old has been dismissed by his soon-to-be IPL teammate Jofra Archer in each of these matches. Samson will want to get back to his best form and reproduce his best form from late 2024. Abhishek Sharma has been his usual self at the start of the innings giving India blistering starts. The 24-year-old has to find consistency with the bat in the next few games for India.
Middle Order:

It is an all-Mumbai Indians middle-order with skipper Suryakumar Yadav batting at three. The 34-year-old hasn’t been at his best in the past few months and there are serious questions about his batting form. Tilak Varma has been India’s best batter in the T20I format along with Sanju Samson in the last few months. The left-handed batter has been in great form with the bat and has already played a match-winning innings with the bat. Hardik Pandya has come under fire for his batting in Rajkot but the 31-year-old is full of class and can bounce back to top form soon.
Lower-order:

Young Dhruv Jurel hasn’t got too many chances to bat during the recent series against England. The youngster will hope that he can show his class and come good during the fourth game in Pune. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar will have to put their hands up with the bat and contribute more if India has to win the series. While Axar has been decent with the ball, Sundar has had a quiet time recently on the bowling front.
Tail enders:

Veteran pace bowler Mohammed Shami marked a lukewarm return to international after being sidelined for 14 months and didn’t pick any wicket. Ravi Bishnoi came under the pump as he was smashed by Liam Livingstone to all parts of the ground. Varun Chakravarthy has been the best bowler in the series with 10 scalps from three games which also includes a fifer.
