IPL: Top 3 death overs bowlers of all-time for Rajasthan Royals

Inaugural IPL champions (2008), Rajasthan Royals haven’t been able to build their legacy after bagging the first-ever season. Since then, they have qualified for the playoffs only four times (2013, 2015, 2018, and 2022). Apart from this, the team failed to reach the playoffs most of the time. However, from 2008 to 2015, the team invested a lot in young players from India and overseas.

They had only a few superstars in the team. After being banned in late 2015, the team made a comeback in 2018. Even though they have a few more superstars, they still invested in young players. Also, after the ban on Pakistan players in 2009, the team lost some of its chunk. Meanwhile, in this listicle, we will discuss all-time best death bowlers for the Royals.

All-time three best death bowlers for Rajasthan Royals

Even though he is currently dealing with injuries, the 2019 World Cup was one of the best bowlers in death overs but overall.

2. Chris Morris

The former South Africa international played for the team twice (2015 and 2021). In his second stint, he was doing well in the Indian leg but failed miserably in the UAE. Meanwhile, during his both stints, Morris bowled mostly in the middle overs or at the death. In the 2015 edition, his death bowling was one of the reasons to qualify for the playoffs.

3. Kevon Cooper

Not many fans might remember him but the Trinidadian played for the team from 2011 to 2014. Even though he didn’t get much games in 2011, 2013, and 2014, the right-hander established himself as a reliable death. Not to forget, in the 2012 season, he saved nine runs against Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals)
