At one point in the tournament, it looked like they would not be able to make the final cut for the Champions Trophy but their win against Sri Lanka made sure that they remained in the fray for the Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy would provide them an opportunity to redeem their pride and fare better than this World Cup.

This was a disastrous campaign for Bangladesh in this World Cup but there were a few bright prospects that can turn out to be a huge positive for them in the future. There needs to be proper nurturing of these players to make sure that they become consistent performers for Bangladesh.

He played a crucial knock against Sri Lanka to make sure that their Champions Trophy hopes stayed alive. As a leader, he would be very significant as he can lead Bangladesh through this transition phase.
