Coming out chase, India also lost a wicket early as opponent skipper Kayla Reyneke got G Kamilini caught for 8. However, the in-form Trisha and Sanika Chalke made sure that the target was chased down in 11.2 overs as won the match convincingly by nine wickets. After scalping three wickets with the ball, Trisha once again shone with the bat as she stood unbeaten on 44 off 33 with the help of eight fours, while Chalke stood unbeaten on 26 off 22, hitting four boundaries.
There were some impressive performances from India U19 players in the tournament but the star of the campaign was Trisha for her great all-round performances. She amassed 309 runs in seven innings at an whopping average of 77.25 and also scalped seven wickets in what was a dream tournament for her.
Her contributions were enough to claim the Player of the Tournament award. Trisha also became the first centurion in the history of the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup when she scored an unbeaten 110 against Scotland.
