Bangladesh National Cricket Team’s tour of Zimbabwe was overshadowed by the Dhaka Premier Cricket League’s regular games and excitement. Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board has released the full schedule of the upcoming tour of the Bangladesh cricket team to Zimbabwe. The Tigers will play a Test, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is. The tour will start with a Test match that will be played on the field from July 7.
Then there will be 3 ODI Super League matches. The 3 matches will be on July 16, 18, and 20 respectively. Following the ODI series, Bangladesh will end the tour with T20I cricket. The 3 matches of 20 overs will be played on July 22, 23, and 25 respectively.
Within 72 hours after the ending of the Dhaka Premier League on June 26, the Tigers will leave the capital Dhaka in the morning of June 29 to play the tour.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the Test, ODI, and T20I series on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the tour. There are 17 cricketers in the Test and ODI teams. 16 people have been included in the T20 squad. Only one new face in all the 3 formats team. He is Shamim Hossain Patwari and has been included in the T20I squad.
Also, a significant addition to the team of 3 formats is Nurul Hasan Sohan. His place has been in the team of three formats. Meanwhile, only one player has been dropped from the latest Test squad; he is Mohammad Mithun. Off-spinner Naeem Hasan has been included in the Test squad again. Mithun is in the ODI team. On the other hand, Soumya Sarkar did not get a place in the Zimbabwe tour from the last ODI team. The left arm is in the T20I team.
Mushfiqur Rahim had earlier said that he would not play in the T20I series. So, a team of 16 people has been arranged without him. Al-Amin Hossain and Hasan Mahmud, the two fast bowlers of the last T20I squad, are not in this team.
