Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs clashed today at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia in the 9th match of CPL 2022. Batting first, Jamaica Tallawahs scored a great total. Saint Lucia Kings won the toss, elected to bowl first, and invited Jamaica Tallawahs to bat. Batting first, Kennar Lewis and Brandon King were playing well. The two made a partnership of 38 runs but Kennar Lewis was bowled out in the last ball of the over and left the field. He scored 19 off 15 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes before getting out. He was then replaced by Shamarh Brooks but trapped by the lbw. He can’t even score a run. After that, Captain Rovman Powell returned to the dressing room after scoring 7 runs off 10 balls.

After some time another opener Brandon King was run out on the first ball of the 9th over. He scored 19 runs off 17 balls with the help of 2 fours. Then Imad Wasim returned to dressing room after scoring 20 runs. After two overs, Raymon Reifer, their highest run scorer, was caught out and departed. He played beautiful innings of 62 runs off 41 balls. His innings were studded with 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Then Chris Green got out with 4 runs off 2 balls. Fabian Allen was out for 7 runs off 8 balls. Besides, Migael Pretorius was unbeaten on 6 runs and Joshua James was unbeaten on 1 run. In the end, Jamaica Tallawahs scored 163 runs by losing 8 wickets with 18 runs extra.

Scott Kuggelejin took 3 wickets for Saint Lucia Kings. David Wiese took 2 wickets with 31 runs in 4 overs. Besides, Alzarri Joseph and Jeavor Royal took 1 wicket each.

The target was 164 runs. In reply, Saint Lucia Kings reached the port of victory with 2 wickets in hand. But the beginning was not very good for them. Besides, David Wiese was unbeaten on 20 runs and Scott Kuggelejin was unbeaten on 5 runs. In the end, they left the field with a victory.

Mohammad Amir took 3 wickets for Jamaica Tallawhs. Imad Wasim and Raymon Reifer took 2 wickets each. Besides, Chris Green took 1 wicket.
