The One Day World Cup will be held in India at the end of this year. And Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli will play as hosts in this event. Since the World Cup is at home, India should not think of any alternative to winning the title. This is also heard from the team captain Rohit. And to achieve success in this World Cup, Indian cricketers are preparing themselves.

India has been showing dominance in field cricket since the beginning of the year. They have already won two ODI series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Team India also won the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Due to that performance, India has climbed to the top of the ICC ODI rankings. However, India has a bird’s eye view of the World Cup despite its ranking superiority.

Recently, while talking to the media, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said about his team’s plans for the World Cup. The Indian captain said, “There is nothing to think about where our ranking is. We don’t even look at it. After a few months, we have a big event like the World Cup. We are preparing for it. Of course, the wins now will help us in the World Cup.”

India wants to keep their best preparation before the World Cup. In this context, Rohit also said, “The World Cup is a big challenge. The responsibility is bigger for us at home. But we all want to be ready to take the challenge. There are still many areas of the team that need to be tested. Before the World Cup, these important matches and series wins will boost our team’s confidence.”

This is about performance. Injuries can be the biggest enemy of the Indian team. One after another, important cricketers get injured in any big event. Players like Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah are out of the team due to injuries. Although these two are now recovering and returning to the field. However, India wants to stay injury-free till the World Cup and avoid all risks.
