Riyadh wants to be the champion in the World Cup

বিশ্বকাপে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হতে চান রিয়াদ

After the failure in the Asia Cup, many things have changed in Team Bangladesh. Desperate for success, BCB dropped T20 captain Riyad and gave Shakib the responsibility ahead of the Asia Cup. However, Team Bangladesh returned empty-handed from the Asia Cup. Mushfiqur Rahim retired in the face of criticism.

On the other hand, Mahmudullah Riyad did not get a place in the T20 World Cup team. That is why the former Bangladesh captain is currently spending leisure. Meanwhile, Riyad spoke about Bangladesh’s World Cup prospects at the opening ceremony of the ‘Hockey Champions Trophy Bangladesh’ on Friday.

According to Riyad, Bangladesh will play well in this World Cup in Australia. In response to a question from the journalists, the former captain also expressed his hope that Bangladesh may become the champion in this World Cup. In this context, Riyad said, ‘Like you, we always want to be champions. Why won’t we want!’

Riyad also said about the team’s prospects that day, ”I hope our team will do well. I always wish the team the best. Let’s pray that our team does well in the World Cup.”

The star tiger batting all-rounder also reminisced by bringing up his old stories in hockey at the hockey event. Riyad is not going to retire but wants to enter the team again by performing in domestic cricket. His wife protested Riyad’s exclusion from the World Cup team. However, this silent killer of Bangladesh did not open up about the matter.
