Moeen Ali announced his retirement from Test cricket

টেস্ট ক্রিকেট থেকে অবসরের ঘোষণা দিলেন মঈন আলী

Moeen Ali said goodbye to Test cricket. This English all-rounder will not be seen in the white jersey for England. This is what Moeen told the media.

He last wore the white jersey more than a year ago. That was his last Test against India. The 35-year-old all-rounder feels that this is the right time to say goodbye to Test cricket. He made this decision mainly because of his age.

Moeen said, “Test cricket is very tough. I am 35 now. I want to enjoy cricket now. So, it doesn’t feel right to change the decision. Now is the time for me to close that career door forever. Playing 64 Tests for England is a matter of pride and my dream has also come true.”

“McCallum called me. I spoke to him for a long time, and I explained to him. He understands, he knows the feeling. Unfortunately, I am no longer on the Test journey,” Moeen said.

It should be noted that Moeen has played 64 matches in a white jersey for England. He scored 2914 runs at an average of 28.69. He took 195 wickets with the ball. It was rumored that the English all-rounder could play the Test against Pakistan in December. But Moeen himself poured water on that rumor. He also said that there is no possibility of changing the decision.
