India vs Australia 2nd ODI Stats Review: Mitchell Starc's Destruction, Mitchell Marsh's Aggression and other stats.

Mitchell Starc’s destruction along with Mitchell Marsh’s aggression helped Australia defeat India by a margin of ten wickets in the second ODI held at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. Australia level the three-match ODI series by 1-1 with one ODI to spare in the series.

Talking about the second game, Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first, Indian batters succumbed to Starc’s dominance as he ripped the top order single-handedly leaving them reeling at 49/5 inside the powerplay. Virat Kohli was the only top-order batter to cross 25 run mark for India. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a golden duck for the second consecutive time.

Kohli looked positive in the batting as he scored 31 runs that included 4 fours. Axar Patel looked good in the lower-middle order, as he remained unbeaten for 29 runs in as many balls, but hardly got support from the other batters, as Australian bowlers bundle India out for 117 runs inside 27 overs.

For Australia, Mitchell Starc was the pick of bowlers for his spell of 5/53 in 8 overs. and was ably supported by Nathan Ellis and Sean Abbott as they picked 2 and 3 wickets respectively In response to the chase, Australian openers toyed with the Indian bowling, smashing them all round the park.

Both the openers reached their respective fifties with healthy strike rates. Travis Head notched up his 14th fifty in ODI and Mitchell Marsh rose to his 15th ODI fifty taking the Aussies over the win line with 10 wickets margin and 234 balls remaining. Mitchell Starc was adjudged player of the match for his fabulous bowling performance.
