It is not easy to beat Bangladesh at home: Jos Buttler

ঘরের মাঠে বাংলাদেশকে হারানো সহজ নয় : জস বাটলার

England cricket team has come to visit Bangladesh after a long time. Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali set foot in Dhaka several days ago. The English have already practiced at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Team captain Jos Buttler spoke at a press conference ahead of the 22-yard fight. According to him, it is difficult to beat Bangladesh at home. They are a good team at home. Butler also said in the press conference that England wants to play their own game.

Buttler sees this series against the Tigers as a test of his strength. According to him, it is good for the team to get used to playing in tough conditions and hostile environment. The ODI World Cup will be held in India at the end of this year. And in this World Cup, England will enter the field with the title of the current champion. They are busy making their best preparations for that. So Buttler made a bird’s eye view to the Bangladesh series. Before the World Cup campaign in India, the Englishmen want to improve themselves in the series with Bangladesh.

“Bangladesh is a strong enough team now. There are some good cricketers here including Shakib Al Hasan who can win matches. Many young cricketers have done well in the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Especially at home, they are always strong. So, beating them will not be an easy task. They are very unstoppable at home. But we want to play our best cricket.”

Meanwhile, Buttler is not thinking too much about Bangladesh’s wicket and condition. He wants to play in adverse conditions and on slow wickets. In this context, the English captain also said, “We expected slow wickets. We will get the same in Bangladesh. We want the conditions to be tough. It will be good for us. Since the ODI World Cup is ahead, the preparation can be done properly. And since the World Cup is on Indian soil, the Bangladesh series is important for us. Because the Indian wicket has a lot in common with the wicket here.”

It is to be noted that this bilateral series between Bangladesh and India is going to start from March 1. In the beginning, Tamim Iqbal and Buttler’s side are facing each other with the ODI series. The ODI series will start at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. After completing the ODI series, the two teams will play T20 matches. After playing the first two ODIs in Dhaka, both teams will travel to Chittagong. One ODI and three T20Is will be held at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
