Hathurusingha’s biggest challenge is handling the conflict between Shakib and Tamim

সাকিব -তামিমের দ্বন্দ্ব সামলানোই হাথুরুসিংহের বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ

Bangladesh-England cricket match is starting from March 1 at 22 yards of the field. This time the field cricket is supposed to be discussed. But the hot wind is blowing in Bangladesh cricket. The conflict between the two biggest stars of Bangladesh cricket, Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal, is more than the discussion of cricket on the field. The question is whether it will affect the performance of the field? Will coach Hathurusingha be able to properly handle the two big cricket superstars of the Tigers?

As Shakib-Tamim reigns in the 22 yards, they are senior cricketers in the dressing room as well. But when the relationship between the two senior cricketers turns sour, the matter becomes a concern. Recently, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon leaked the news inside the team.

Until now, the news of the strained relationship between Shakib and Tamim was an open secret. In the arena of Tiger Cricket, there was no less discussion and criticism about it. But that was just rumors. This time it was revealed by the board president, the relationship between these two cricketers in the dressing room. Papon said that he tried to solve this old problem. But he had to fail in that attempt.

In an interview about the Shakib-Tamim relationship, Papon said, “Our dressing room is unhealthy. There is a rift between Shakib and Tamim. I tried to resolve it. Even after talking to both of them, we couldn’t resolve it. But during a series or a match, the two have a good relationship. The condition off the field is not our concern. But the atmosphere in the dressing room should be good.”

The BCB president’s interview went viral instantly. After that, it created uproar in the country’s cricket. At one time Shakib – Tamim were known as good friends of each other. Besides, two people lived in adjacent flat. What happened between the two that the two don’t talk to each other off the field? Such is the question now in the country’s cricket.

Papon thinks it is important to stop grouping to advance the Bangladesh team. The BCB president said in an interview, “Grouping is the biggest problem in our team at present. The way I see and hear their (Shakib-Tamim) relationship, I find it hard to believe. If we want a better future for cricket, the grouping problem needs to be solved. Because every player is capable to win here.”

The news of Shakib-Tamim conflict is now the talk of the country. However, when England-Bangladesh is about to fight on the field, why did the BCB president give such an explosive interview, there is now discussion and criticism going on all around. Starting from former cricketers, many cricket fans think that such an interview by the BCB president at this time will increase the discomfort within the team.

Meanwhile, after the arrival of new coach Chandika Hathurusingha, Shakib was not seen on the field in the beginning. On the other hand, at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Tamim’s side is sweating in practice. The bilateral series against England starts from March 1. And before this very important series, the board president’s speech on the two best stars of the team, who knows how much it affects the team! Apart from fighting against England, handling Shakib-Tamim is now Hathurusingha’s big challenge.
