Fierce competition to buy women’s IPL team

The popularity of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is sky high all over the world. But until now it was only around men. Now a new craze is added. Women’s IPL is going to start in full swing. To buy a team in this franchise-based T20 league, a fierce battle has started between the companies. It is already known that a total of 30 companies want to buy teams in this league.

A total of five teams will participate in the Women’s IPL, as announced earlier by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). And for the sale of the ownership of these five teams, the BCCI has recently announced tenders. Many companies stepped up to buy the team. Already 30 companies have bought the tender. Among which there are well-known corporate companies.

Several Indian cement companies are among the companies interested in buying a women’s IPL team. One of them is India Cement owned by Chennai Super Kings. Besides, Chettinath Cement and JK Cement bought the tender. Along with it are reputed companies like Sriram Group, Nilgiri Group, APL Apollo, Capri Global, Haldiram and Adani Group.

Meanwhile, the rumor floating  for a long time also came true. All men’s franchise owners are interested in buying women’s IPL teams. It is also known that all of them have already bought the tender. However, even if you own a team in the men’s category, you will not get the benefit of owning a women’s team. All have to go through the bidding process, winning the fortune of owning the team.

It should be noted that the BCCI will officially finalize the franchise of 5 teams on January 25. It will be known on that day, who owns which team! Although this time Bollywood stars are not interested in buying the team  in the IPL. Because in order to buy a team, the owner must have at least 1 thousand crore rupees in his pocket.
