BPL 2022 – Match 26 (Comilla Victorians vs Sylhet Sunrisers)

Comilla Victorians won over Sylhet Sunrisers by 4 wickets in the second match of Wednesday’s doubleheader in BPL 2022 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium thanks to the outstanding performance of Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mustafizur Rahman. After losing the toss, Sunrisers went down to bat first and scored 169 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Opener Colin Ingram played a devastating inning of 89 off 63 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes for the Sunrisers. In addition, Anamul Haque scored 46, and Lendl Simmons scored 16 runs. Mustafiz took the maximum number of 3 wickets, conceding 23 runs in 4 overs for the Victorians. Besides, Sunil Narine and Tanvir Islam took one wicket each.

Chasing a challenging target of 170 runs, the Victorians reached the port of victory after losing 6 wickets in 19.5 overs. IND vs WI (2nd ODI)

With a 44-run victory over the visiting West Indies in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad yesterday, the hosts India secured the series 2-0 with one match remaining. After losing the toss, India batted first and scored 237 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The Caribbeans were all out for 193 runs in 46 overs in reply.

India changed their batting order yesterday. Rishabh Pant came on the field to start the innings with Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul was dropped down to four to strengthen the middle order. But their plan did not work. Rohit was out scoring just 5 runs. Pant, who was trying to form a partnership with Kohli, got 18 runs after playing a bad shot. Kohli also returned to the dressing room, making 18 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav and Rahul put on 91 runs for the fourth wicket partnership. Rahul (49) returned to the dressing room when the team total was 134 runs.
