Bangladesh will walk a different path to cope with the pressure of the busy schedule of cricket

Cricket’s highest governing body International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the Future Tour Plan (FTP) for five years from 2023 to 2027. According to this schedule, Bangladesh cricket team got the opportunity to play the most matches after the Caribbean.

Bangladesh team will play 34 Tests, 59 ODIs and 51 T20s in these five years. 144 matches in total. In this, the Tigers will play against teams like Australia, India, England. Which is more than in the past.

However, can the cricketers handle the pressure of this continuous game? The cricket board will move towards the rotation system to reduce the pressure on the cricketers. Even there is strategic thinking about the team management members to avoid burnout.

In Mirpur, BCB Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan said in this context, ”Not only the cricketers, those who are in the team management will also have a busy time. When our FTP will be finalized, we will sit and plan, discuss everyone’s free time and plan. It needs a plan, there needs to be a schedule, who can participate where, who can’t.”

On the other hand, the ICC conference will be held in Birmingham, England on July 25 and 26. BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon and Chief Executive Nizamuddin Sujan will be present there as representatives of Bangladesh Cricket Board. The chief executive also spoke to the media about the issues discussed in the meeting.

Sujan said, ”In fact, the meeting of ICC this year is the annual conference week of ICC. Honorable Board President and I are going to participate. Most of the issues that come up here we have already discussed. Decisions about these have already been made. You have already received some information through various news media.”

Sujan also said, ”The main thing is that FTP is in the agenda of this meeting, the routine issues are mainly coming. Nothing new is coming that way. Still, if something new comes up in the meeting, then you will know it through ICC. Since the ICC is organizing the meeting.”
