Chasing the target of 182 runs set by India at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday (September 4), Pakistan reached the port of victory by losing 5 wickets in 19.5 overs. Mohammad Rizwan played an innings of 71 runs off 51 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Besides, Mohammad Nawaz made the foundation of winning the match by scoring 42 runs in 20 balls batting with a 200-plus strike rate. 2 sixes along with 6 fours came from his bat. He was also selected as the player of the match. Among the Indian bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Hardik Pandya, and Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket each.

Initially, Babar Azam and Rizwan tried to score well in the chase. But in the fourth over, Babar was caught by Rohit Sharma at short midwicket. The Pakistan captain scored 14 runs off 10 balls with 2 fours before being dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi.

Then Fakhar Zaman played an innings of 15 runs off 18 balls and was caught by Virat Kohli on the boundary in the delivery of Chahal. Pakistan still needed 119 runs from 68 balls to win. Nawaz came to the crease and changed the scenario of the match.

Indian bowlers were continuously hit for fours and sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar finally stopped his tornado innings. In the third ball of the 16th over of the innings, Nawaz was caught by Deepak Hooda while trying to hit an over-boundary over long off.
